CMHW are ready for Occupational Health 2023!

If you are coming along to Newcastle for next weeks’ Occupational Health 2023 conference, pop along to one of our sessions to hear a bit more about some of our Centre projects!

The conference, which is hosted jointly by the Society of Occupational Medicine and Faculty of Occupational Medicine, welcomes clinicians and academics who are engaged in the field of work and health and we are delighted to have been selected to present on four key pieces of Centre-related work.

All of our presentations at this year’s event will take place on Friday 16th June and will include Dr Elaine Wainwright discussing the latest progress on the QUICK study’s development of a new questionnaire tool which captures a broad range of work impacts for chronic pain, Dr Rosemary Hollick discussing awareness and availability of work-related support services provided by UK RMD charities, and Stuart Anderson giving an update on the latest progress in the Making it Work™ - Scotland study’s redevelopment of the original Canadian Making it Work™ programme.

Most excitingly, Dr Elaine Wainwright has also been invited to deliver this year’s keynote 2023 Thackrah Lecture, where she will be outlining the current sources of support available for young people with musculoskeletal pain as they transition from school to work or further education, including some exciting and potentially radical solutions to some of the issues faced by these young people. Not to be missed!

You can find more details about Occupational Health 2023 on the conference website, and you can view our full schedule from the event including timings and locations in our conference schedule leaflet.

We look forward to seeing you there!
